Just need to vent.
So I am a buyers agent working in Europe. Reading posts here I see there is a slight difference of work protocols.
Anyway… As an agent and finding an fellow agent from another agency who agrees to share a rental commission is rare. I have this lovely family client looking for a nice budget house to rent. We did some viewings and they chose one house that seemed perfect for them. Agent responsible also shares the commission so win win situation. Yay!
Offer was accepted by landlord so next step was gathering all the documents needed to make a contract. Client sent all document in the next 5 hours ( different country, various documents ) which is fairly quick. Sent it to an agent and an hour later he calls me saying that landlord received higher offer(my client agreed paying asked price) and he cancelled our deal. Of course agent got upset since he bypassed him completely and he had to be the barer of bad news. I felt so bad telling my client the news as they already planned inviting me to their welcome to a new home dinner.
What a shitty Friday! What do you do to destress from news like this?
