My wife and I finally had an offer accepted late last week on a home here in Oregon. We just received the property disclosures from the seller and while they did check that the property has no current damage from fire, water, etc. they did mention that there was a home fire in 2009 and the home was then rebuilt in 2010. Is there anything in specific I should do here? I’ve already asked my agent if we are entitled to any further detailed information, such as the severity of the damages, what was repaired, etc. we are having the inspection done tomorrow but is this even something a regular home inspector can offer input on? Should we consider some sort of more detailed inspection? (No idea who that would be) Any advice would be much appreciated. The home looked great when we saw it but I don’t want to run into what could be a major problem.
