So, I’ve been in the process of buying a home and have had a strained relationship with my realtor. Today is closing day, and she just sent me the confirmation for the repair addendum indicating that all repairs are acknowledged as completed. However, we weren’t provided with receipts or invoices for work that was supposedly done — the owner was to get mold remediation, electrical and plumbing work done. He only provided the mold remediation receipt.
In any case, I told my realtor that I didn’t feel comfortable signing the “Notice of Acceptance and Completion of Repairs” form because it would be untruthful. I have no idea if the work was actually done. My realtor told me to just sign it without getting the receipts, and that the selling realtor was going to provide them to us some time tonight.
Lots of other issues with my realtor besides this one, but I’ve never felt like she had my back. Just wondering, would you go ahead and sign this form, and just trust that the selling realtor is truthful. Would I be covered in the event that I don’t get the receipts of repairs done, seeing that I signed this form?
