Long story short: Once I sell my home (primary residence), do I have to reinvest the profits into another home purchase within a given time frame to avoid paying extra taxes (Capital gains, etc)?
I would like to sell this house and rent for a while while I decide where I want to buy and in the hopes that the housing market will cool down. Is there a time limit?
