We started looking 3 months ago in a market with very low inventory. We’ve seen a total of around 10 houses since we started (we’re quite picky but there’s also nothing much in our price range) and bid on one which we lost. It was a bit traumatic to loose a bid and so my family and I rethought our strategy and decided to drop 2 price tiers so that we can be more aggressive with our offers over asking without stretching our DTI. Our realtor has been very responsive and supportive throughout but I feel that since we told him we were dropping two price tiers he has cooled off a bit. He still responses promptly but he doesn’t call like he used to whenever we had a question and would just text us back. Is this normal? I don’t think we have been too difficult and it’s only been 3 months and he has always told us that he wants us to make the right decisions since we are FTHB. Am I expecting more of a connection with my realtor or am I reading too much into things? Any advice on moving forward or what to look out for?
