is 150k for 800 something square foot worth it?

That’s all I can seem to find where I live. There was one that was 1000 square foot. But I know nothing about buying a home. I am 35. Currently live with my parents because I’m not paying 1500 a month for rent when I make 50k a year. That is ridiculous. In 6 months my credit should be good enough to buy a house (currently my credit is 552). So what is your advice? I can’t do roommates because everyone I have tried to live with tried to screw me over. So roommates are out of the question. I am also single. I just want to finally have my own place.
