I placed strong offers for two homes, to which they both got rejected. Sellers accepted lower offers than me. Did my agent do something wrong?

I feel really bummed out because I lost out on two houses that I truly liked. I wanted to buy one of them to live in, while renting out the other. But I lost my offers due to sellers accepting lower offers than mines. Which seems unheard of in this market.

The first house I submitted an offer for $945k, to which the seller accepted an offer at $855k. This house was in fair condition. The listing agent represented the buyer in this transaction. The second house I placed an offer for $915k, but seller accepted at $905k. This house was in major fixer condition and wanted a cash offer. I offered cash for both houses.

Both of these houses, I waived appraisal, loan, and inspection contingencies. Something seems off here. Is my agent not doing something right?
