I’m a freshman in highschool. I just got back my final mark for my mathematics course and it is a 55%. Now, in Elementary I was a good student when it came to math, I certainly wasn’t a Straight A student but I understood basic principles firmly. Now in High school, I can barely wrap my head around the bare minimum of equations and such, especially analytical stuff (the one with the slopes and stuff). I’ve never felt more demoralized and un-motivated for a school subject.
I excel at pretty much everything because of my high enthusiasm, interest and dedication to most other courses, (including Geography, History and English) but not math. I think that is why I have low marks when it comes to Mathematics. I am dedicated to having a job in Law or Real Estate, so even though I would say I have quite a “level-above” understanding of basic Real Estate knowledge, and currently working toward those careers in high school, Could I become successful in Real Estate without having a good background in High School Math?
