I can’t help but think of the houses I’m looking to buy as investments even though I’m a first time home buyer. Is this bad?

I’m a first time home buyer in this crazy, F-ed up market. I’m looking in the 200-275k range. I make (gross) about 80-90k a yr and net 50-60k a year. I’m owner/operator of a landscaping type business. I have some negative thoughts in the back of my head when “shopping” for houses… some of them are… I think of every house as an investment.

ā€‹

I want to live kind of rural but I’m already thinking about it’ll probably be a bit harder to sell when I need to or if I need to. Because rural there’s no HOA so you can have a nicer house next to a dumpier mobile home, etc. That sort of thing. I saw a nice little houses on 2 acres that I like but I’m worried already about if it’ll be hard when it comes time to sell because some of the neighbors on the block are in mobile homes (mixture of stick built and mobile homes). Or I kind of feel like I’m downgrading to how I was raised growing up (really not trying to sound “pretentious”). Or I was looking at a house that I wouldn’t personally mind living in but it was next to a cemetery and I decided not to put in an offer even though I thought it was okay but I was worried about when it comes time to sell it.
