When I turned 18 I received inheritance from my grandfather that passed. My parents wanting me out of there house asap bought me a fixer upper about 15 minutes from them. I am now ready to sell it and move on and get out of here and hopefully move to Houston. I bought the house for 41k and can sell it for 80 to 100k. Right now I currently have 150 to 200k left of inheritance (it’s not a set number since the money is all in stocks that’s how I inherited it.) I am exceptionally grateful and lucky to have a situation like this. However I have absolutely no clue how to handle this. Should I sell my current house then use the total money to get a house. Or should I buy a house now for cheaper then sell my current house. I’m lost and confused if I did decide to sell then buy where do I live in the meantime ? Would I just go live with family or be homeless. How do people manage to sell then buy homes? I don’t understand buying and selling houses in the slightest. I’ve been trying to do research but I don’t know where to start. What is y’all’s opinions ? What should I be looking up to learn the right things. Where should I start ?
