Husband sold an investment property in another state. We realized this week that the buyers failed to transfer the water utility to their name, stupidly assumed they would transfer ownership. We are paying the bill as a stupid tax but how to get them to transfer it to their name? We tried to get the water turned off but the technician couldn’t access the valve as it’s on the property or get a meter read as a final one.
Apologies if this isn’t the right place, just super annoyed at this whole thing (ourselves and them).
