How to stay positive as a buyer in this market?

I know this is a seller’s market, and supply is very low. But I am struggling to keep positive. We have seen so many houses the last few months, and put down about 6 offers that were all declined due to other pending offers (seems like we just miss it!). We even increased our limit (still within budget) and been open to see different homes in different cities. We have the money and and underwritten for a loan. We are just waiting for a home. Some homes we didn’t put an offer for because the price really couldn’t be justified; for example: I’m not going to pay 420k on a house with obvious leakage and humidity issues and a roof that needs to be replaced (35000 in repairs if not more). Again, I get it it is a sellers market, and things could be worse, we will keep looking. But how do you stay positive and hopeful? This is taking a toll emotionally. It sucks. Also, I have noticed that some sellers’ agents are jerks sometimes. Why let us go see a home when there was a pending offer (this actually happened twice).
