How to get into commercial real estate?

Quick background, Ive been working as a civil engineer in land development for the past year, graduated spring 2020. I mostly work on industrial and commercial projects. One of my best qualities as an engineer is my communication skills. Im thinking about a career change as i think i could be successful in commercial real estate with the knowledge ive acquired over the past year. There is just too much wasted potential to sit at as desk all day. CE does require a TON of communication, but im a good shmoozer and people tend to like me rather than coordinate utilities/ follow up on permitting.

I was just wondering if anybody is in commercial/ industrial real estate, and how difficult is it to break in and be successful?
