How much to ask our realtor to drop commission?

We have a great realtor helping us sell and buy. Our house is not listed yet and our neighbor has expressed interest in buying our house. She used to work in real estate and would not be using a buying agent.

If we find our own buyer, avoid listing, and our agent doesn’t have to split her commission, what is a reason number to ask her to reduce commission to? I was thinking 4%?

We like her a lot and want a fair deal for everyone. She has already spent a good amount of time helping us get our house listing ready.
