There’s a 100-acre lot for sale around here, and it looks like an absolute steal. If it were subdivided, I could put 100 houses at least on it (the rest is unusable drainage and whatnot). But in order to move on with the planning, I have to figure out who to contact to get a rough idea of what’s involved.
Is this something the major homebuilders, like DR Horton, Ryan, or Toll Brothers, would handle? Or do those businesses buy the land, subdivide and permit it themselves, then sell directly to the end homeowner?
I obviously can’t build 100 homes by myself, so I need the right points of contact. Who do I call who would build roads, install sewers, and build a bunch of homes?
