We’re (my partner and I) from the south. Have bought and sold homes in three states there. All of our realtors gave us something at closing like a gift basket, candle or mugs. I actually know of one that gives small Yeti coolers. Is this a southern thing? We recently bought and sold a home in the northeast. Our agent up here said “C-ya!” with one foot out the door at closing. It felt rude /rushed after a big paycheck, but maybe that’s just not done everywhere. 🤷♀️ Not that we need a gift, we paid for her services, but they were minimal at best. Cash over offer, no contingencies, no inspection after an hour on market. TLDR: Is it a regional thing for realtors to give clients a gift at closing?
