Location: NE Pennsylvania
A house across the street from me recently went for sale through a broker (sorry I missed an opportunity to buy before the broker got involved). Within hours of the listing, I immediately made an offer of the asking price, cash deal, broker’s choice of title company (for fast closing). I don’t even anticipate needing a home inspection.
Broker conveyed my offer to the seller, and said he would not be able to show the house for several days. I have an appointment tomorrow evening to see the house, but I know there may be a dozen of other interested parties who will also see this property over the weekend.
How would a “bid up” process occur? Would broker come back to me to give me an opportunity to offer more if a higher offer were made? How would this work?
