Selling my current home to an investor group that rents out the houses, a big national company with plenty of cash. Home inspection by their construction manager is Monday afternoon. Woke up this morning to wet garage ceiling with numerous wet spots with water tracing down wall in few spots. Main water line turned off, dripping stopped. Plumber coming to fix the leak and already contacted a drywall/painting company who will do the repair work once everything is dry. My realtor says leaks happen and it’s a normal part of owning a home and shouldn’t scare a rental group away but she will call them to let them know that we will repair everything. Am I screwed? I don’t want to lose this contract. We never even had to list the house, they love this neighborhood because it has no rental restrictions so our agent called them and they jumped on it. What do you think?
