This is a developing story but here what we know (from HOA minutes/budget/10 year plan/etc):
We are under contract on a townhome in the CO mountains. HOA as engaged with an engineering firm to survey water drainage. The buildings are on slope. piezometers have been installed on the front side There is indication that additional drainage has been added and there is hope that should fix the issue (trying to confirm what work has been done). No mention of any other structural/foundation type issues so this is likely localized the garage slab?
*edit: Management company claims this quite common in the area due to terrain.
I have phone calls with a couple local engineering firms but really what I’m trying to wrap my head around is how big (or potentially big) issue is this and subsequently, should we walk away from this deal.
