My landlord expects a check or money order every month, I have asked them to allow me to make an electronic payment as I can set up automatic payments and not need to think about the entire process of paying rent.
I have told them that I had my bank mail checks to a previous landlord but after I got a notice to vacate, I found out the postal service is not reliable. Last month a check bounced since they waited a week to cash the check and the account it was drawn off of was used hurriedly to pay for fuel. Our lease states rent will need to be paid in cash if checks become an issue.
They use a bank that has Zell integration and said they “would look into it” but here it is a month later and I would be bringing it up for the 4th time if I ask them about having looked into it. I don’t want to hound anyone so I am looking for advice before I try one last time to ask for an electronic option.
