I have been planning on selling my house to relocate and live with my fiance. Signed listing agreement in May. Realtor has put me in touch with their handyman to get several things finished before listing. House has not been listed yet, professional pictures are supposed to happen today.
Within last week and a half, fiance and I have had very serious relationship issues to the point where we are speaking with a counselor next week to really work through if we should continue our relationship and engagement.
My listing agreement has a section saying if I don’t go through with sale I have to pay the commission anyways. If I don’t sell the house, I absolutely do not have the money to pay that. And I 100% will feel bad for my realtor if I can’t sell. But if my fiance and I breakup, I need my house and don’t want to sell it. Cold feet on both fronts.
I don’t know what to do. Any advice on what to do is very much appreciated.
