Getting my Sales person license at 19

Hey first time posting on reddit. Im currently 19 living in Ontario and am looking to become a realtor. My age has been the part thats left me most hesitant on it as I feel middle aged and older people would have less confidence in a young agent. After a lot of thinking i thought that either way il’l need to start somewhere and build my name up.

Now the main question i’m asking for both experienced and new realtors is what are some of the challenges i should expect within my first year. Im a very social and confident person and have been learning about investing and stocks over the past year (Not that it makes a difference) so i have some knowledge about the industry but very minimal.

How many sales should i be expecting my first year (Not including family)?

What is the best way to build connections with the public?

Should i consider working with a mentor for my first few months?

What type of commissions should i expect to pay my broker?

Is this a sustainable career considering companies like Zillow are becoming more popular?

What are things that stands out between successful agents and not?

ā€‹

If you answered any of my questions its greatly appreciated, thank you šŸ™‚
