I’m 17, gonna be a senior in hs next year. I’m pretty interested in real estate and want to be an agent after college. Summer just started and I had the idea that instead of getting a job at McDonalds like most kids my age, it may be better to get an internship for a realtor.
However there are a few things I think could potentially be problems.
I am obviously not licensed yet (I am too young and have not graduated highschool yet) so would I even be able to do anything that is of any value (to me or the realtor) To ask for an internship would I just email realtors in my area or would that just annoy them? Would I have to do the Gary V approach of saying “I’ll work for free” or would I be able to negotiate getting paid?
So I guess my question is would it be better for me to try to get an internship for a realtor or should I just get a job at McDonalds for 14/ hour? And if the internship is a good idea would emailing realtors annoy them or is there a better way to contact them?
