Need to vent. A lot of this is on me but we are under contract for a house at 712k. Inspection found some issues and the roof will need to be replaced in 3-4 years.
Seller only lowered 6k. All was good and based on the comps we saw we were good. Appraisal came in at 650k. Now the seller is saying he won’t budge and would rather us walk away as he has a cash offer.
Now the wife is pissed cause she had set her hopes on this house. (It’s nice but nothing unique)
I feel like setting a new high in price per Sq foot in an ok neighborhood is not smart when the house needs some (small) work.
Just venting due to the market and thought I was done with it.
