Hello, we closed on a Florida house yesterday (escrow finished today). We got a homeowner’s insurance quote about a month ago and the lender approved all of the conditions and spoke to the agent to get the binder. Closing was delayed, we forgot all about the insurance until today. It never came up while signing the papers yesterday. I remembered late today and signed the homeowner’s policy immediately via SnapDocs but it was after business hours. Husband is having a conniption. How bad is this situation for us…? Could the lender do anything? Could the insurance company not honor the contract? Thanks.
