We just moved in to a detached PUD. The neighbors are a husband and wife with 2 kids and a dog.
They always seem to be outside or in their backyard so there are many opportunities for them to interact with us.. They had a week to introduce themselves or say hi but have been actively ignoring us. The only contact we get is from their large dog which barks at us when we are in our yard.
Last night around 11:30pm, the husband decided to patrol around his house with a flashlight and beamed it right at my face while I was working on my computer by the window…. I ignored him because I was hoping he was looking for his dog or something. After thinking about it I realized that he must have done it intentionally since I am on the second floor. I am fuming… my friend thinks he was trying to get me to cover my blinds in case I may have been creeping on their family through their windows.
It seems like there is no way to recover a potential good relationship from this. I really wish this tension could go away.
What do you suggest doing?
More context- this is a gated community in south florida with a median sales price of around 800k. The neighbors are Argentinian.
