My house is under contract and the buyer is getting an FHA loan. The FHA inspection came in and the inspector had issue with an extensive (15K) structural repair I had done on the floor joists. I have a letter from the structural engineer on the project refuting the findings on the inspection report and saying it meets required building codes. For the requirements of the loan will that override the report? I think the inspector doesn’t know what he was talking about and I’m pissed this could tank the deal.
