We are in the process of finding a realtor to list our home. I have 3 appts in the next week with different realtors before we chose one. Our home is only 2 years old and in great condition. We live AZ in a highly desirable neighborhood and subdivision, so I expect our home to sell quickly. For that reason, we will be staying with my mom once it’s listed, so open houses can be held frequently. We will be clearing out some furniture, everyday items to make it look perfectly staged.
My question is, this week when I meet with the realtors, does my home need to look this way already? There is no mess or damage that needs to be fixed, it just looks lived in at this point. We have an 8 month old son, so there are various items out throughout the home. Again, all of this will be gone for photos, open house, etc.
Does the realtor care if the home looks lived in at this point? Will this affect/effect (I never know) the list price they suggest?
