We made our first offer on a house we really love. Our realtor was shocked at the listing price and said the house was overpriced. She suggested we only offer the listing price. We looked at comparable houses in the area 2 went for the same price, 2 went under asking price, and 2 went over. Our agent has been in the business for decades so we went ahead and offered the asking price. Now looking back, I feel like we should’ve done more. In this market, I am sure there are tons of offers over the asking price. I will be so sad if we lose this one. Anybody can weigh into this or can share a similar experience?
