Like title says.
I have concrete sub flooring in my bathroom that I noticed after ripping up the vinyl sheets.
My contractor who was going to do it mentioned the Hardie-Backer cannot screw into the concrete so he cannot begin the tiling.
So, what are my options?
From my understanding I could:
1) self level the floor with 1/4-1/2 inch of cement
2) rip the flooring up altogether and put new subflooring in
3) Whatever reddit recommends
I gotta fathom 2 is waaaay more expensive than 1 and isn’t necessary. But I feel like self leveling a bathroom floor will just add odd height
So, what can I do? What about the Kerdi system or some other flooring membrane, will they work in this situation?
