We have all the approvals and closing disclosure signed. But escrow just told us that we cannot close on Friday and should sign everything by Thursday to close on Friday.
I wish this was communicated to us way earlier as we live 6 hours away from the escrow company and need to take time off from work to make the trip a day earlier. Why will my agent put Friday as the closing date when we actually cannot close on that day? No one has an answer for us.
Is it okay we still sign the papers on Friday and potentially close Monday? Will it cause any issue to close a business day later?
Our agreement with seller is to get keys in end November. So I feel like it doesn’t matter if we financially close a little late. What will be your advice in this situation?
