Buying a house with upcoming new residential construction up the hill?

I’m thinking of buying a house in whose neighborhood there is going to be lots of new construction (20+ houses) – there is a road built and parcels ready but no houses yet (not sure if utilities are there either). In Google maps, the air distance is about 300 feet from the closest parcel; it’s separated by an uphill green space. Does anyone have experience with how loud residential construction tends to be? I will be home all day, so noise during the day would be a big issue for me. I just have no idea what I might expect out of it.
