Hi all, Since beginning of this year, we have seen over 10 houses and made offer on 6 of them. Predictably, we lost all the bids mostly to cash buyers (informed by my realtor). Nothing to rant as I know there are buyers who experienced worst than us.
I have a question and really appreciate all your input.
If I can afford to buy a house with cash (increase the chance of getting one) but need the money to invest, would it be wise to buy one with cash then apply for home equity loan? ( assumed my return is way higher than the interest of the loan).
What are the pros and cons of doing it this way?
