Thinking of putting in an offer on a house where the seller wants to close in 30 days on a Friday but then stay in the house until the following Friday. I’ve heard nothing but horror stories on here. What are the best steps to avoid a situation where seller refuses to leave?
So far I’m thinking:
Ask my realtor if she can find out the seller’s plans. Does he/she have a purchase lined up? A closing? Etc.
I’ve read about requiring some funds be held in escrow in addition to rent?
Is it possible to include a clause to void the agreement if seller fails to vacate in X days?
What other possibilities?
