Beginning of my career in real estate questions.

I’m currently 63 hour pre-license coursework preparing for the state exam in florida. I intend to obtain my real estate license and, as soon as possible, register with the NAR. My problem is I feel like im studying to become an attorney. There is SO much legal material, court cases, statutes, etc… that are being prioritized but nothing pertaining to how to effectively become a good real estate agent, just information required in case any kind of legalities were to arise. Are these lessons that real estate agents actively use on a regular basis? Do agents focus a lot of time with keeping up to date on laws? Or is this something we study, learn, pass a test on and then just kind of put on the back burner? It’s an awful lot of information is all and I feel like some more time should be focused on how to speak with customers and sell a property effectively.
