Since everyone was so helpful before, I thought I’d post again. There is a barn on the property that is almost three levels and it’s in bad shape. The inspector said it was in bad shape down and should be torn down. The realtor doesn’t seem to think it’s a big deal and not relevant to the purchase of the house since it’s not connected and not “livable” even though the listing listed it as exactly that. Anyway, we want to make sure it’s not unstable and will collapse, causing us to pay for removal and just being unsafe! The owners seem to not be aware it’s unsafe, saying they just had folks put a roof on it a few years ago, which I find hard to believe they don’t know about it. It’s a big deal also because the house doesn’t have a garage or much storage so I was looking forward to this space. Anyhow, just curious on what people think or if anyone has had a similar experience.
