Title pretty much sums it up. I am buying a home from Opendoor. The pool is dirty, but not in bad shape. Just needs someone or a company to give it some TLC for a week and it will be good as new. This was addressed on our appraisal which we had done on the FIRST WEEK (October 27th). Opendoor took money from our credits to get the pool cleaned.
Well here we are 7 days from closing and the pool isn’t clean enough to the appraisers standards. It was clear-er for a short period of time but the filter stopped and because no one lives there or checks on it regularly it was green by the time the appraiser went back out.
Honestly; I don’t care about the pool! I will fix it. The water runs and circulates. Do I have any options to get this appraiser to sign off on this or is this minuscule thing going to end up delaying my closing (mostly because Opendoor is SLOW).
