I know that you’re not required to compensate a realtor if you decide to stop looking as a buyer. But… our current realtor has done a good job and we’d feel bad just leaving him high and dry if we stop looking. For context, this isn’t a temporary pause, we’d expect to not seriously consider moving for another 2-3 years if we stop now. Our main reason for stopping is simply fatigue. Tired of the low inventory and this market.
Is there some way to compensate our realtor aside from a commission? As a realtor what would you think is reasonable, fair, etc? How would you want someone to approach this?
BTW, we’re not trying to break our buyers agreement with our realtor.
