I have about $500,000 of equity I could take out of my primary residence and one rental property. If I did, how would you advise I invest and why? (assuming lenders go along with all this of course)
Buy a $500,000 property outright — no mortgage. Use the $500,000 as down payment for one big purchase. Big mortgage. Buy five or so small properties outright for $100,000 each — no mortgage. Use the $500,000 as five down payments for 5 moderately priced properties. – five mortgages.
