I’m done. First we offered 25K over ask. Second offered 30k over ask. Third offered 50k over ask. Fourth and final house, 55k over ask. All with various contingency removals. All of them about an hour and a half away from work because moving close to work isn’t even an option at current prices.
What we learned: If you cannot waive the loan, appraisal, and inspection contingencies (basically everything), you might as well quit now. I’m off to save more money and hope for something to happen in this crazy market.
