I have an offer accepted with a 45 day closing and now have after today 28 days left. Loan agent said he had some program that forecasted interest rates and since rates are only locked for 30 days he said he would watch and once we get with in 30 days if it’s gonna be lower we would lock it in. I had a loan agreement signed stating 3.25%. I asked him about it today and he can’t see that anything has changed still 3.25% Interest rates have dropped the past 3 weeks. Is he fucking me? I have a decent relationship with a loan agent at a major bank who said he could get me 2.99% and cover the appraisal.
So here I am asking the internet for help
Should I risk it? Are there factors at play that I am not aware of?
